ROIX Design is a modern furniture company founded by Designer/Maker Roy Livingston.  I make handcrafted origami-inspired folded steel tables. I also make wood versions of the same designs.

       For the folded steel tables, I work in a fabrication shop where I keep a 40-ton custom hydraulic press specifically designed for the folding process. For the wooden versions, I craft them in a building on my property.

      Five of my designs have been awarded design patents by the USPTO office. My TS Series of origami-inspired tables was a judge’s favorite at the 2019 International Contemporary Furniture Fair, where I was honored with a Constellation Award Finalist in the furniture collection category.  I’ve also won Silver Awards at the 2021 New York Design awards and 2023 London Design awards.

       My tables are in homes across the United States from Maine to Florida. Besides selling my furniture directly, I sell my tables through the De Aurora Design Showroom in Chicago. I’ve also sold and sell my furniture at the Smithsonian Craft and Design Show and Palm Beach Craft Show.
